[FFmpeg-user] unable to set -threads through command line

Hi every one,
I am new to ffmpeg , configured and compiled h264 decoder with
--enable-threads option.
when i give -threads  2 through command line option ,thread count is not
changing from default value(1).
why ? Did i miss any configure options ?
