When asking *volunteers* to assist you, you might consider their
situation.  Reading numerous e-mails interleaved in time is made much
more difficult if the flow of the conversation is jumbled and/or buried
in excess quotations.

Presumably, you found this list at ffmpeg.org.  The request to not
top-post is part of the first paragraph of the "contact us" page.

You only did it once, and Carl poked you instead of ignoring you (some
would).  You weren't supposed to take it personally.
