[FFmpeg-user] Performance issue/question (maybe my misunderstanding)

Looking at these numbers, I would suggest to try to run with only 2 threads
on the i7 and see if it makes a big difference.

Also, the suggestion of using x264 binary directly is sound, because if x264
for some reason wastes its time eating 9 threads for nothing, it is there
that it must be reported.
