[FFmpeg-user] loseless cropping from 1980x1088 to 1080 possible?

If this a performance-question:
I believe that your player / video hardware should crop for free.

(There simply is no lossless re-encoding except if you re-encode to 
a lossless codec which will dramatically increase file size.)
