I've now received the permission to provide my sample MXF file:
http://download.das-werkstatt.com/pb/mthk/examples/mxf/test_v1.mxf
If I'm correct, the file is an uncompressed NTSC YUV OP-Atom, created
using BBC R&D's "Ingex" [1].
In an entry from February 2012, in Ingex's bugtracker on Sourceforge
[2], Philip de Nier said:
"Unfortunately, no it (FFmpeg) doesn't support Avid uncompressed
OP-Atoms. I then thought that you could use bmxtranswrap to convert from
OP-Atom to OP-1A, but it turns out that FFmpeg doesn't support
uncompressed YUV in OP-1A either. I've pushed some FFmpeg patches that I
had to support the archive preservation format and if accepted then
FFmpeg will support uncompressed YUV in OP-1A. Philip"
What is the current state regarding this?
Thank you very much in advance,
Pb
