[FFmpeg-user] delay/lag in playing stream from network camera in ffplay

is fps high? I know I ran into the same problem with a 1 fps source
the other day...it hung for like 5s before starting to play back,
possible because of message
" Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate"
maybe there's a way to disable that, or some way to turn off cacheing?
