As far as I know, is png a picture format, not a video format. Hence, it 
will be a fairly quick video. Depending on the player it will just flash 
by or leave the last picture in the window.

On the other hand, ffmpeg can do stuff with sequences of pictures like 
extracting pictures from a video or combining pictures to a video.
