[FFmpeg-user] How to avoid blurred text when using drawtext filter?

Just to add a bit more context here:
- I am just starting to use ffmpeg (definitely a newbie)
- I have another ffmpeg install that runs on Windows, which does not appear
to show this problem (installed from an available binary, not built from
source). 

Does anybody have any pointers on what could be wrong/misconfigured?
