 Interesting. Also according to Wikipedia, TYER (which was the Year field)
 has been "replaced by TDRC in v2.4".

 TRDL is a NEW frame that relates to Release Time.

 So, indeed, I think  that the year tag in the FLAC should to to TDRC in a
 transcoded mp3.
