RealMedia is a piece of you-know-what so some files will be decoded only with FFmpeg or
MPlayer (probably). Nevertheless,  if somebody else wants to see the artifacts then
just add these lines to .mplayer/codecs.conf:

videocodec ffrv40
  info "FFmpeg RV40 decoder"
  status buggy
  fourcc RV40,rv40
  driver ffmpeg
  dll rv40
  out YV12
