I'm fine with this, I can help backport ffplay stuff to the SDL1 variant 
as well.

I will resubmit the set like this:
- SDL2 device added
- ffplay renamed
- ffplay (sdl2) added

I will not submit the deprecation patches again until SDL1 is fully 
deprecated throughout ffmpeg.

Please tell me if you have other suggestions.
