Yes, for that case we might need to weaken the protocol_whitelist a bit
by automatically changing a 'file' whitelist to 'file,http,https,tcp'
in the hls demuxer, at least for a transition period.

Of course. I wouldn't consider it ready before it has spent some
weeks in master.
