I meant in the 24fps progressive original.  There you start with

A/A B/B C/C D/D

fps=30 turns it into

A/A B/B C/C D/D D/D

which decimate turns back into 


A/A B/B C/C D/D


No harm. Just seems like a strange work-around.


Your revised documentation is clear to me.
