Actually, there needs to be some more specific work done for EAC3 muxing, as stated by Yusuke Nakamura.
I've some ideas to implement them, and this should fix all the issues that exists right now with the patch (possibly concatenating syncframes and taking care of all the different substreams, whatever their type is).
I won't have time to do that today, but I'll get back to it on Monday.
Though this patch, in its current state, can be considered as dropped.
