Your analogy is flawed, of course. If the hole is "accessing the file on a CIFS share",
then it's more like:

- You need to dig a hole, but you need a permit.
- Permit has been pre-approved during planning/setup.
- You dig the hole.

Perhaps you can use the time you save to study English and analogies a bit more.
