Here is what I am going to do based on previous exchanges. I understand
people concerns and hopefully it will make the patch more easilly
acceptable to everyone.

I'll break it in 2.

First part, will only contain monotonic clock usage that is not related
to ts.

Part 2 to modify ts related clock usage while addressing Nicolas George
comment to let monotonic clock optionally configurable (I would keep the
current realtime clock the default to not unnecessarily stun users).

Does that sound like a plan?
