How can we (in FFmpeg) find a proper solution for a 
(very) stupid configure test in another project?

What is unclear about it?

Contrary to them, I'd like to stick to the truth.

And what taking infrastructure from third-party 
projects has to do with the GPL and the LGPL is 
(far) beyond me.
