I think I explained what is good for (and it's also explained in the
commit log) and several reports from users explain why it is useful.

On the other hand you really didn't explain why in your opinion the
patch is not good, the only vaguely adducted reason is that you don't
want to change the log level because you consider it "purely
informative", which I do not a strong reason since based on a rather
subjective terminology issue, and it's not clear what's the advantage
of keeping it that way.

So while I think I explained my position, it is now your duty to
explain your, considering the advantages of the patch (less pain for
the users).

Since I feel this bikes^H^H^H^H^Hthread is already getting long enough
and wasted enough time and bandwidth, I suggest to move this
discussion to IRC.
