There are two parts to this problem.

1: When I asked about it last year I was told that libav was where the
work was being done especially around the h264 libraries so I was just
pointing that out here.

2: The other issue is that certain distributions notably Debian, but I
think there are others, are putting a very big notice on ffmpeg runtime
saying that it is deprecated and we should all use libav.

Personally I would very much like for ffmpeg to have complete openCL
support and if Wei Gao can assist with that it would be wonderful.
