My code is written from scratch, so it is not based on the previous effort.

The patch from that thread has some drawbacks such as not supporting
Windows, depending on sws_scale() inside the muxer, and expecting
audio to always be present. I'll see if there is anything I could copy
for the next patch I send for review.
