IT IS NOT BEING USED ALONE HERE.

Alone within the context of -v, but NOT ALONE in the context of the
WHOLE COMMAND.

If you want to argue semantics, then append this:

    If "repeat" is used alone, and with no prior loglevel set, the
    default loglevel will be used.

I don't know how someone thinks this doesn't have to be mention. It does.
