well, its a simplification for the persons who read the page.
A person who wants to donate does not search for the SPI page nor will
he want to read it, he wants to know by which means he can donate and
then how to do that for the means he choose.
The current page doesnt serve this puprose so people will probably
just not donate once they see the size of teh SPI page, that is
if they even look that far, i suspect some will not even click a single
link if the first page does not say clearly which they need to
follow to donate by mean X

its not relevant if there are other options to make IBAN transfers
A donator reading this page and who wants to donate by IBAN is just
searching for one IBAN not a exhaustiv list.
about it being EU-only, where is that written ?
the ffis page doesnt say this, the SPI page says for europe but not
"only for europe". How can people outside EU donate by IBAN?
but yes of course this "EU only" thing should be clarified ...

i dont think some people will even click their way through
to that page and noone will read more than the first 2 paragraphs of
teh SPI page.
Improving the SPI page is a good idea but its not a solution for the
problem at hand. The problem is that people will not follow a link
when the first page is not clear.

about conflicting information i dont see what could conflict and am
happy to volunteer to keep the page in sync
