Also heres a quick test
decoding a random  1920x1038 H.264 with ffmpeg ... -f null
0.7.5
real    0m14.399s
user    0m14.220s
sys     0m0.060s

0.7
real    0m14.936s
user    0m14.780s
sys     0m0.020s
