In attachment and old patchset which doesn't apply anymore, but shows
what was my idea (I wrote a multifade and multifadec - multifade
colored). multifadec could be used in place of alpha fading (indeed it
is a more general filter), multifade is more efficient for the common
black fading.

I was not satisfied with it for many reasons (it looked too much
complicated, and I was unsatisfied with the need to specify colorspace
information in each filter, I tried to expose that info in lavu/lsws
and got stucked there).
