Rather than saying "old" and "new" tree or whatever, why not simply
call this one of the developer's personal trees? I intend to publish
my own personal tree at some point also (github, in my case) for weird
not-yet-ready features that I'm working on (I used to post patches on
gnome.org/~rbultje ages ago), and it would fit well in the same list.
