You should publish it somewhere (possibly with a note that it is work in
progress and may break anytime).

That is the best way to avoid duplicating work on them and the best way
to patches from someone who cares in the case one of the filters break
in your branch/repo.

The patch looks ok but I would like a link to your branch and the name
of the six filters in the commit message.
