For all my voice is worth, I don't think this is the right time to do
this. While I agree, that lavcore shouldn't have been created in the
first place, merging it now doesn't bring any huge advantages. It does
however escalate the already unstable political situation. So I think
this patch should wait a month or so until the dust settles.
