I like to have an HTML version of the FATE documentation. But I
would prefer to have the current fate.txt "ported" to texi, as the
source.
The HTML version could be produced from that and a plain text
file without markup could probably generated too.
There are two problems which I spotted so far:
- How to handle the configuration file example?
- How to produce a plain text file from the texi source?
I think we can find satisfying answers for both of these. After
a quick search I could find promising hints to solve both of the
above. I will give it a try this weekend. It isn't that urgent IMHO,
but I am sorry to keep you waiting.
If that is in place I am fine with linking to fate.html from other
places.
If you find anything better content-wise, in the current fate.texi
file, then please tell me.
In my opinion it is nice to have a text version and a configuration
file template around. E.g. it comes in handy if you are setting up FATE
on a remote box for the first time and you are only having text terminal
access.
