I prefer this de-politicized version over the previous one.
Instead of a news item a specific Donations section with this text (or
similar) might be more useful. It would be easier to point the
occasional donation query to the Donations section than an old news
entry and easier to update if the donation situation does change.
I'm not sure of the best page to append Donations to if you decide to
do that instead.
