I tested current svn and -r{2005-01-01} with current realplayer and mplayer -vc
-ffrv20, and all combinations showed the same artefacts (I believe you would
immediately know what the problem is).

No, but that seems unrelated since instead of just showing artefacts, remuxed
videos can't be read by ffmpeg/ffplay/mplayer (I tested python_tribute.rm).
