Public transportations are quite good, when they are not on strike. Some 
renovated subway lines and carriages have English (vocal) indications at 
strategic places, or at least French ones. Please avoid the car. Touristic 
places are English spoken. Elsewhere, well, please try to speak slowly 
then. Some restaurants have English menus but those are generally more 
expensive than the casual place to eat.
