It is interesting to note that on Windows NVIDIA only supports HBR
passthrough on Fermi cards. Maybe these older cards (that you and I have)
produce non-spec-compliant stream that only some receivers can handle...
Or it only works with certain specific chips, despite the HDA codec
advertising HBR support.

Have you tested the DTS-HD patch? If it doesn't work either, the above
would seem likely. But if it works, something may be wrong in the TrueHD
patch.

I assume you have double checked everything (patches applied, correct
modules loaded, non-pcm bit in AES0 set) :)
