I dont see evolution as sad.
if Maemo / MeeGo dont do h264 decoding out of the box other products and
possibly other companies will replace them. There are enough closed and open
source alternatives.
Not to mention this is a Maemo/MeeGo - H264 issue not a
Maemo/MeeGo - ffmpeg issue
and even less so a
Maemo/MeeGo - ffmpeg plugin issue
