Correct, this is exactly my point.  I have never seen anybody "out there"
use either.

A fringe desktop distribution, yes.

What is Mint?  I have never heard of or seen it during years of going
to Linux conferences...

The only places I have ever seen Fedora used is at the Fedora booth at
LinuxTag, Dominik's laptop and one other person I know.  I have never
heard about Mint before (well, let's say I don't remember) and maemo
or meego is a corporate-sponsored project with no adoption from endusers
that I am aware of.

I'm sure there are trillions of people running Fedora or Red Hat or CentOS
on servers, but you were talking about desktops.  I just don't believe that
Fedora's market share on the Linux desktop is anything but minuscule.
Maybe it would be higher if they offered their users more than just
support for fring multimedia formats.
