ive been pointed to

This thread does not sound like the rockbox devels seriously intent to
integrate fixed point support back into the ffmpeg codecs.
But iam not on their ML so its easy for me to misinterrpret this.

What my basic question is, is someone _really_ working on adding fixp
wma to ffmpeg?
The reason for my question is that it seems there is active effort done
by people to use the rockbox codecs directly, and this is totally wasted
effort once ffmpeg has fixp support in said codecs.
I would thus like to see them merged back in ffmpeg so that projects
can just use them without needing to link to a second lib or support
a different API, that is besides the thing with more forks more bugs
and maintaince effort issue.
If the rockbox devels help us merge the stuff back they can have
svn write access to maintain and improve the code of course.
If they dont want to merge their code back it shouldnt be much work
to do it ourselfs. What i really want to avoid though is us not
working on it with the reason the rockbox devels work on it while
they actually dont.
