[FFmpeg-devel] Getting the FFmpeg 0.5.1 ball rolling

Hi,

Diego and I want to release 0.5.1 RSN. The last scheduled changes for
that tarball include a proposed change by Jason for libavcodec/libx264.c
that allows compilation with newer x264 API versions. Diego, maybe you
can ammend this? I'll scan the commit logs of trunk as well and try to
find more candidates for 0.5.1.

I'm pretty sure that there are other changes that would be desireable
for 0.5.1. If you can point to svn revisions in trunk that:

 1. are not already in branches/0.5
 2. are security relevant
 3. have little regression potential

please nominate them on this mailing list.  In order to make them easy
to find, I'd suggest starting a new thread for each change with a
subject line containing the prefix "[PATCH][0.5]". Let's see how this
works out.
