if they are neccessary, they are ok

btw the ver/app stuff might be usefull for other things like to override
what to send in other network protcolls
the hash could be usefull to verify correct decompression of any other
codec, also we have AVFormatContext.key*
so it probably is not that many ...

Asymptotically faster algorithms should always be preferred if you have
asymptotical amounts of data
