 Dear Carl,

We use PICVIDEO codecs in our medical applications and are keenly interested in your progress in helping integrate their CODEC into the FFmpeg application.

While I am unsure if this information will help, I have appended a response from Pegasus. If I can facilitate further communication toward moving this addition to FFmpeg forward, please contact me with any required information and I will do my best to help sort out an answer.

Andrew,
Any application including ffmpeg can access our PICVideo Lossless JPEG codec to decompress PICVideo Lossless JPEG video streams using the Microsoft AVIFile API, the Microsoft ICM (Installable Compression Manager) API, or the Microsoft Direct Show API.

Alternatively a pre-processing application could use these same API's to decompress the PICVideo Lossless JPEG video streams to an uncompressed video stream that ffmpeg could then process.

 Regards,

Andrew
