[FFmpeg-devel] License violation(s), again

In the endless series of shady "video converter" software violating
licenses of multiple free software projects, here's another one,
"Wondershare Video Converter Platinum".

http://www.wondershare.com/multimedia/index.html

The executable offered ("video-converter-platinum_full50.exe", SHA1 sum
3291ae163abca46d605738788ee3a86421d7e6f1) contains all the unsurprising
usual suspects, such as parts of FFmpeg libav*, x264, LAME, and perhaps
some others. Naturally a typical and generic wrap-up license is offered by
the installer, with no mention of used libraries or other licenses.

The only interesting difference I found was that in this particular case
they perpetrators have made some effort themselves and split codecs into
separate DLLs, and apparently also stripped some error messages and such
out - possibly to make identification harder. Enough has been left to be
positive about this, however:

$ strings vdpCodecEx.dll | grep -i ffmpeg
If you want to help, upload a sample of this file to
ftp://upload.ffmpeg.org/MPlayer/incoming/ and contact the ffmpeg-devel
mailing list.

$ strings wp_h264.dll |grep -i x264
Ax264_2pass.log

etc, etc. I'd say it's a fair bet that the other products from this
sweatshop also infringe licenses. Well, at least they seem to be enjoying
fruits of their hard work:
