Same issue/patch now found it's way to xbmc trac.

Disregard the patch there as it contains other changes only pertient to xbmc's 
clone of ffmpeg. The patch in this thread is better.

If going by that struct posted (from a realplayer header file mentioning gpl 
compatibility), it seems like a correct patch.
