did you try using your demuxer with mplayer and feeding the video to
the binary codec?

mplayer -demuxer lavf -vc vivo file.viv

this would prove that your demuxer works on the viv2 sample.
also i dont think reverse engineering viv2 was part of the task, but
feel free to do it :)
