It probably happened with the SVQ3 files you had, and the issue that
(IIRC) the time_base value in AVCodecContext was wrong.
I don't know if that can be verified in an automated way, except maybe by
transcoding (possibly to a container format that does not support
variable frame rate to also test r_frame_rate).
