but I've had this also happen occasionally with 1.4 under windows.
it's definitely a bug, either in svn (for the linux cases) or in the
svn/msys/cygwin/windows cluster-fabulathon and not a bug in ffmpeg,
but I figured it's save to work around it by using the edit I
submitted (all of our own build scripts work that way now, although we
use automake's $(SH) variable).
