If you look at the time of the messages, you will understand what
happened. In chronological order:
1- I committed the patch
2- I had a hardware problem and couldn't sent the "applied" email
3- You sent your "Will commit tomorrow" message
4- The next day I sent the "applied" message that I was supposed to
send some hours earlier
5- I read your "will commit tomorrow" message
Note that when you sent your message I had already committed the code.
If you think it was a bad idea to commit it in the first place, mind
that the patch was arguably trivial enough to be applied without
review _and_ it was already inspected by two other people...
