Our samples are MPEG-TS and may NOT be addressed by this patch (i.e.,
only decoding from start will work, seeking in H.264 MPEG-TS streams
will be still broken). To my knowledge, only one recent camcorder is
MOV, the others are always MPEG-TS.
Besides, my message to the FFmpeg community to encourage downloading.
In the next weeks, we will be gathering more camcorder footage. So if
you connect to http://www.kdenlive.org/video-editor and read "Not
supported" or "Partial support" and the camcorder is Mpeg4 or AVCHD, it
is likely to be a timestamp/seeking issue in FFmpeg. Other issues may be
too slow implementation, and we need hardware acceleration with access
to decoded frames, not only fast display, which is useless in our
opinion. In some cases, deblocking may solve decoding problems.
Thanks for your help!
Kind regards,
Jean-Michel
