Obviously because I am pushing my own ideology and that says that these
kind of function pointer checks are a symptom of either bad or even
wrong code and it would be better to get rid of them anyway :-)
I'll have to search for the discussion on the destruct stuff because I
have the nagging feeling that a sane solution was proposed, just not
implemented...
