Note that gdb is available on Windows, so the argument should probably
be more like "hardly anyone knows how to use the tools".
I don't think I'd object, if someone finds the time to review and
improve it (obvious things like * placement, globally visible variables
without ff_ prefix, configure support), though it should come with
documentation and that documentation should also mention alternatives
and how to use them.
