Hi, I am also curious as to the status of this patch. ?Again as my last, I will work on this and send it in if necessary, or wait for David to do it..
As to "Whacked Bookmark", I have no idea what it means, but those numbers in David's patch are consistent with AtomicParsley, which I think is pretty much the defacto standard right now in understanding iTunes metadata.
Also, I suggest using the term "stik" for the "stik" metadata instead of "itunes type." ?AFAIK, there is no definitive reference for what this metadata means. ?AtomicParsley uses "stik", so I'd suggest for consistency that ffmpeg do the same.
