if all existing linkers lack a feature / are broken it very well may be
easier to design a single wraper tool that works around that than fixing
all the linkers, some maybe with unresponsive upstreams.
But this is a very shortsighted way of thinking, it also only considers
the amount of work needed to "fix" it somehow not the amount of work,
time or RTFM the "fix" needs for each user compared to the alternative
fix with linkers "just working".
