No, you have to send a message with "[PATCH]" in the subject to this 
list to get your changes reviewed. Then, if they are accepted they will 
be commited.

Please note that simply disabling an optimization is not considered a 
proper fix of a problem and would probably not be accepted in the main 
tree (but since it may be useful to others some day it is a good idea to 
send it to the list). The "right" way is to make the optimizations in 
qpel.c compile and work. Did you try something in the line of the 
attached patch (completely untested, I do not have a cross-compiler
